Regional Director

Lise Lalonde Regional Director in Quebec

Lise oversees the Awana in Quebec including in French, English and Spanish. She is responsible for the translation of material, church care, leader training, and ongoing leadership development. Lise has a passion for ministry in our own country but has also been instrumental in new club development opportunities in France. 

Cory Vail Regional Director for Atlantic Canada
Cory oversees the Atlantic Canada region for Awana International Canada. Cory develops the region through church care and leader training. The Awana ministry in Atlantic Canada represents over 40 churches.
Leigh McGough Regional Director - British Columbia, Yukon and Alberta

Leigh joined the Awana International Canada team in 2017 as ministry lead for this large territory which includes 160 partnered churches. Leigh works with our team of Advocates and with the partnered churches in this territory as they strive to reach more kids with the gospel through long-term discipleship. 

Missionary

Dave Kinsey Regional Missionary - Ontario

Dave works with the Awana Ontario team to serve churches in Northern and Eastern Ontario as they strive to reach children and youth with the Gospel of Christ. Dave works tirelessly to represent the Awana ministry, to serve local partnered churches as they develop solid youth ministries and to equip leaders through training. 

Leo Mak Regional Missionary - British Columbia / Missionnaire régional pour la Colombie-Britannique

Amy and I were born and raised in Hong Kong. Just a few words from our son Alan, during our visit to Vancouver some 20 years ago, ‘I like to study in Canada’, changed the lives of our whole family.

Advocate

Rebekah Bock Ontario Advocate for Church Care

With over 140 Awana partnered churches in Ontario from varying denominations and cultures, Rebekah’s role is busy. Each of our Awana partners has the same goal to reach kids with the Gospel and Rebekah ensures that they are equipped through resources and training. She is also a great help when it comes to various events and runs our Ontario online journey program. 

Ruth Anne & Kyle Crouch Advocates for Ontario Camps and Southwestern Ontario Events

Kyle and Ruth Anne work to plan, promote, direct, train and recruit staff for the Awana Camps in Ontario. They also work with partner churches to organize events in Southwestern Ontario 

Len & Shelley Hyatt Ministry Development Advocates - Prairies
Len and Shelley are enthused to encourage and equip churches to reach boys, girls and families with the gospel, to train and equip them to change our world for Jesus Christ through Awana.
Ben Vine Ontario Advocate for Team Support
Ben supports the Ontario Team in a variety of ways through event administration, communication, and training support. Ben has also worked with the Ontario Scholarship Camp and Winter Camp team and as well has been instrumental in starting the online journey group in Ontario. 
Job Lee British Columbia Advocate for Events and Ministry Resources

Job is currently a part-time Advocate in BC but his skill set often makes him a valuable ministry resource across the country when it comes to website work and design projects. Job also works with the BC team and with partnered churches to organize and oversee regional Awana club events. 

Leah Hyatt Alberta Advocate
As the Advocate for Alberta Leah works with the local church to provide support through leader training, new club development and through ongoing leadership development. 
Joshua Kim & Lisa Lee Advocates - British Columbia (Korean Church Care) / Représentants pour la Colombie-Britannique
Josh Walsh Awana Ministry Development Advocate
Josh works with the Awana Ontario team to support partnered churches by equipping them with resources, through leader training and event support. He enjoys coming alongside the local church as they work to reach kids with the Gospel, teaching them to know love and serve Jesus Christ. Josh also works with the team to organize and facilitate leadership development days throughout the province.
Evan Morrison Awana Ontario Advocate
Evan works with the team in Ontario. His primary focus is fundraising for the Advocate Program. 
Gabriel Chan British Columbia Advocate for Sports and Camp Development

Gabriel is an Awana Advocate in British Columbia. This is a diverse region, both culturally and geographically, providing many opportunities to spread God’s word. Gabriel has served as an event volunteer and more recently as a summer intern. Gabriel’s focus will be on event organization and administration, camp and sports ministry development.
