While Santa rewards the good and punishes the naughty, Christ offers the ultimate gift to the undeserving.

“Our heart is restless, until it finds its rest in thee.”

Advent is the season of expectant waiting and anticipation of the coming Christ. We celebrate His first appearance in the manger and are filled with the hope that stems from His promise.  “Out of the stump of David’s family will grow a shoot—yes, a new branch bearing fruit from the old root. Paradise is a picture of abundance, delicious varieties of fruit, fresh running water, precious stones, and beautiful creatures

It is likely that my daughter's first memory will come from this quarantine season.

Her ability to acknowledge and surrender her lack of control saved my life. 

And the Angel said until them, "Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy"

I was pregnant not only with my son, but with hope.
