7:00 — 8:00 pm AT
Starts September 18, 2018
Hi, I'm Gabe Myers! I was born and raised in Browns Flat, New Brunswick and went through the Awana program in my church where my father pastored. I am recently engaged to my fiancé Hannah Grant and I am a fourth-year student from New Brunswick Bible Institute who is interning as an advocate for Awana in the Atlantic provinces.
Online Journey allows those in Gr. 9 and up the opportunity to explore with others the themes investigated by Awana’s Journey material. Since the one-hour meet will be held in live conversation through webcam or phone, your proximity to a Journey club is no longer a holdback from participating in Journey!
How much work is expected during each week?
Each week's lesson is broken up into seven days of study. With the exception of day seven, which would be our group meeting, each day is designed to take about 15 minutes to complete depending on each person.
What is required to complete the Disciples Study?
For each week's lesson, you will be required to fill in all the work in your book and memorize the core verse (as well as recite it to someone). Click here to see full requirements.
What will an Online Journey meet look like?
During the hour meet, we will watch the lesson’s short video, discuss the three questions previously explored during the week, and pray together.
Who will mark my lessons and listen to memory verses?
We encourage you to ask a Jesus follower in your community to mark your lessons and listen to the verses you memorize throughout the year. If you have a parent who follows Jesus, they are a great option!
What material will I receive when I register?
Once you register you will receive a link to the online store from which you can order your student bible study book. You may also want to order some of the Journey swag including t-shirt and bag!
What video chat program will be used?
ZOOM is a web conferencing service that can be used from a PC or Mac computer, tablet or iPad, or phone. Calling in is an option.
