About the Race
Heart Lake Conservation Area takes its name from the spring-fed kettle lake, which is roughly shaped like a heart. Located within the Etobicoke Creek watershed, this park is a popular destination for residents of Peel Region, with more than five million visitors since it opened in 1957. The park is also very popular with anglers in the area as it is stocked with hundreds of rainbow trout each year.
8:00 AM - Packet Pickup for All Events
9:15 AM - Start of Children's Challenge ( Free Kids Event )
9:45 AM - Start of the Sport 7.5k and Enduro 11k Races together
10:00 AM - Post race food & beverage available in race compound
12:00 PM - Awards Ceremony
2:00 PM - Fellowship and Fundraising Awards Ceremony (nearby area)
Combination of single-track, x-country ski trails, and hiking trails, a true trail run from start to finish!
In the interest of racer safety and because of the size of our attendance and the technicality of our course, it’s dangerous!
NONE OF THESE THINGS BELONG ON THE TRAIL DURING THE RACE:
- No dogs
- No headphones
- No strollers or baby joggers
- No nordic walking poles
Parking is free, but space is limited. Please car pool. Go to the Birchmount parking area, near the Wild Wetland Splash and Pool.
Washroom facilities and outhouses available at Start / Finish area.
Water Stations are located at the Start/Finish and on the course.
First Aid Station is located at the Start/Finish area. First Aid attendants will be stationed throughout the course.
Spectators are welcome. Spectators who cheer will be rewarded with smiles.
Awards ceremony will be held following completion of all competitors (Approximately 12:15pm). Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age category in all distances, as well as top three male and female finishers overall. All awards must be picked up at the race and will not be mailed.
