Sarah Armstrong - Awana International Canada

    Equipping Leaders!

Ontario has a rich history with Awana. Ontario is where Awana was first offered in Canada and was the home of the National head office for over 35 years. The men and women who started the ministry here in Ontario will be richly blessed and have reached many kids for Christ.

Ontario has one of the largest and most diverse populations in Canada. We are continually looking for people who want to serve. Whether you want to serve a specific ethnic group, in your area locally or across the whole region, we have a place for you.

If you are interested in learning how to start using the Awana programs or how you can serve alongside our team, please contact us. We would be happy to meet with you.

Sarah Armstrong - Ministry Development - Ontario and British Columbia

I love God’s Word. I love reading and studying the Bible and I love telling Kids about everything in it! That’s what I love most about Awana, that kids learn the Bible. The first time I ever heard of Awana was from a teenager in my church who brought her very old, dog-eared, and much loved handbooks in to show me. As she handed me the plastic bag full of books. She enthusiastically said, ‘we should do Awana here, I loved it.’ Thus began my adventure with Awana.

My husband Mark, and I celebrated our 25th anniversary this year and we are parents to 3 extraordinary young women. As they are now grown, and almost independent, I find myself able and wanting to extend myself further. I have loved serving as a children’s ministry director, but I long to focus on the multiplication of leaders. Great leaders make such a difference in the lives of children and I can’t wait to encourage and support your ministry.

I lived in 25 places in the first 23 years of my life, which is way too many times to move, but it also means that I have friends and relatives all over the world. Ontario is my home but I love BC.
